Our journey here – B2B AV marketing – by accident! 

Starting Copper Leaf Media wasn't exactly what you'd call a meticulously planned venture. It was more of a serendipitous leap, with a blend of necessity, opportunity, and a dash of entrepreneurial spirit. Our journey from a technical consultancy's offshoot to a thriving creative content agency specialising in the technology market is a tale of accidental beginnings, organic growth, and a relentless drive to simplify the complex.

Beginnings

Our story began by accident. Roland’s sister company, a technical consultancy, was deeply immersed in product development for various firms. During those brainstorming sessions, as they navigated through the intricacies of inventing next-gen products, we asked a recurring question: “How are you going to sell it?” To which clients replied “maybe you can help us with that.” It turned out, our deep understanding of the market and the technology positioned us perfectly to not just contribute to the product development but also to spearhead the marketing efforts. This realisation was the spark that eventually ignited Copper Leaf.

Joining forces

By 2016, Kiera and Roland had one one joint client already benefitting from our unique blend of technical knowhow along with Kiera’s decades of PR experience. They decided to go all in and officially launched Copper Leaf with the two of them and one employee. This has blossomed into a team of over 20, and a B2B marketing agency with offices in both the UK and the USA. Our growth has been as organic as it has been strategic, with each new skill acquired by our team attracting clients in need of that very expertise. 

Our foray into the world of creative content was uncharted territory. No prior agency experience meant the learning curve was steep, in fact it wasn’t until 2023 that we employed anyone who had worked for an agency before! However, we were clearly doing something right. 

Our story is peppered with our fair share of mistakes. But it’s from these that we’ve drawn our greatest lessons, continuously evaluating and refining each element of our business to better serve our clients.
