InfoComm 2024 Round-Up

InfoComm took place under the bright lights of Las Vegas this year and following a busy week at the show, the Copper Leaf team are reflecting on the challenges and achievements of providing marketing support to attending clients.

Preparations for InfoComm 2024

We start planning for upcoming trade shows several months in advance. As a marketing agency, we plan our trade show deliverables with care and precision, ensuring we have adequate resources to provide the best possible trade show support. Whilst attending to client needs through press meetings and face-to-face support at the show is important, there’s so much work that goes on behind the scenes across all marketing departments in the months leading up to the show.

Whether we’re creating booth designs, crafting a spectacular demo room experience, producing a product video or building a PR campaign around an upcoming launch, tradeshows such as InfoComm require careful planning and preparation.

Attending a tradeshow

Our attendance at InfoComm this year was focused on a mix of client support and business development activities. Attending trade shows is an important part of our role as an AV marketing agency, and our directors, Kiera and Roland are present at most industry trade shows, along with our PR team and, oftentimes, a photographer to provide photography and videography support for clients.

Press meetings at InfoComm 2024

Many of our clients find great value in creating and maintaining good relationships with industry press, and as a PR agency, we help to facilitate those relationships. Tradeshows, such as InfoComm, provide our clients with a platform to share their latest news and innovations with editors of leading industry magazines. This could be through individual press meetings or by organising and hosting a press conference at their booth. Our job is to organise press meetings and help our clients to maximise the opportunities that come out of these meetings. We’ll also advise on messaging and often run a pre-show PR campaign to build anticipation and drive visitors to the booth.

InfoComm 2024 was another great show for press meetings, with a large selection of representatives from dozens of magazines in attendance. Of course, it’s also a great opportunity for us to network with the industry’s wonderful publishing professionals, many of whom we’ve built relationships with over several years.

Marketing support at InfoComm

Marketing support at InfoComm can take many forms. Depending on the client needs, we may provide social media support, posting content directly from the show floor to share their message with followers and drive people to the stand, or we may help collect videos and photos for other purposes. In some cases, brands may use the platform of an international trade show to host dedicated events, such as booth parties or networking evenings. At Copper Leaf, we often assist clients with organising such events, providing graphic design for signage or banners, or advising on venues and target guest lists.

Reflections on InfoComm 2024

InfoComm 2024 was a tremendous show for the Copper Leaf Media team. We helped to deliver one of the most ambitious audio demos in show history, attended dozens of press meetings and had a great time at various industry events. Heading to the USA is also a good opportunity to connect with our American representative, Brian. Of course, there is always enough time to enjoy a little nightlife in Vegas, baby!
